These trader joe’s dark chocolate almonds are a great semi healthy snack with just the right amount of crunch and sweetness. these are among my favorite almond treats at tjs, but they now are competing with the sea salt and turbinado sugar dark chocolate almonds! both varieties are great, but these classic ones are really easy to eat a whole. For some reason, the small print caught my eye a couple of weeks ago. these are dark chocolate almonds with sea salt and turbinado sugar. a 10 ounce package costs $4.79. in our store, these are displayed over the frozen foods usually above the frozen veggies. hmmm. Chances are, if you're imagining a typical dark chocolate almond, that's exactly what these tj offerings taste like. there's a thin soft coat of bittersweet chocolate enveloping each crunchy nut, presenting a smooth bite that's pretty palatably pleasing. to my taste, the chocolate seems a lot more sweet than bitter, but i've grown pretty.
