Nanyuki. our lady of mount kenya nanyuki is a shrine community located at the foot of mount kenya. it was started in 1978 and is in the catholic archdiocese of nyeri. the piece of land was providentially donated by mrs mary swanson sutcliffe. abbot lambert of peramiho abbey accepted the donation and the noviciate started in may 1979.
